Short Trips from Lincoln

Lincoln has a lot of interesting places availaible near it to make day trips. The average Drive Time to reach these sites vary from 20 minutes to 2 hours one way at an average speed of 60 miles an hour. Roads used will be mainly Interstate Routes and US Highways.

Transport

There are a lot of Rental Car Agencies in Lincoln.  Most of them are located in the Lincoln Municipal Airport. There are some at the Gateway Mall and few in the downtown area. ( One rental company will pick you up from your house and drop you back FREE.)  Rental varies so shop around for the best rate. It is always wise to buy insurance ( full coverage).  Also choose the right option for you like Limited / Unlimited miles.  Ask all the stupid questions before you rent the car. You will need a Valid NE license or an International License and you might need to over 21 years or 25 years of age.

Driving

Driving is a joy in USA with at the Interstate system and other fine roads which are all adequately marked.  Though driving in winter can be a bit challenging.

Driving Directions

You can get door to door maps off the web. Just put in the zip codes and street addresses for destination and present location.

Food

You will be able to find fast-food or other eating joints about every 20 minutes on the highway.
